How to Store Mangoes for Peak Freshness
Simple storage techniques to preserve flavor, texture, and natural sweetness from orchard to table.

Leave firm mangoes at room temperature in a ventilated tray, away from direct sunlight. Check them daily; a naturally ripened mango develops fragrance and gives gently near the stem.
Once ripe, move fruit to the refrigerator and eat within three to four days. Chilling slows further softening while preserving the sweetness and aroma you waited for.
Do not refrigerate unripe mangoes. Cold storage too early interrupts natural ripening and weakens flavour.
